Maiwand Abbas

Born in November 1988, Maiwand Abbas is an Afghan national with a master’s degree in Business Administration from Afghanistan’s well-known accredited University of Kabul in 2017. On the career side, Maiwand Abbas is an experienced administrator with a demonstrated history of working in the fields of finance, administration, logistics and supply chain industry for over 15 years with different national and international employers in Afghanistan.

Prior to working as Senior Administration and Finance Director of the Heart of Asia Society (HAS), Abbas worked for ANHAM FZCO as Senior Procurement and Head of Staff for their Kabul Office for several years. During his tenure with ANHAM FZCO, he had the privilege of contributing to Greenwich Consulting and Support Services as part-time Procurement and Administration Advisor. Maiwand Abbas’s professional experience also includes working with the National Democratic Institute (2010-2011) as Procurement Officer, with MTN telecommunication company as a Customer Service Officer (2008-2010), and with AMCC as a Quality Control Supervisor (2005-2008).

Abbas, during his tenure with national and international employers, has proven his competency in management, strategic planning, and business development. He speaks Pashto, Dari and English fluently.
