Fabrizio Foschini

Dr. Fabrizio Foschini has researched the history, society, and politics of Afghanistan—where he has lived and visited regularly since 2003–for nearly two decades. He studied the history of Asia at the University of Bologna in Italy and achieved his Ph.D. on the modern and contemporary history of Afghanistan, with a specific focus on oral history. Between 2010 and 2014, he was based in Kabul with the Afghanistan Analysts Network (AAN) as a political analyst, and in the following years he contributed regularly to the network’s publications, besides engaging in other projects related to Afghanistan with research organizations and academic institutions. Fabrizio Foschini has also worked with and published on the Afghan asylum seekers and refugees in Italy and in the Western Balkan countries.
