INTERVIEW: Jawed Ludin discusses missed opportunities for the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process

As ministers and high-level representatives from Afghanistan and countries from our near and extended neighbourhood in the region meet in Istanbul for the 8th Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process, questions are raised about the continued relevance of this Process to the cause of promoting regional co-operation.

In this interview, Ambassador Ludin discusses missed opportunities and how the Istanbul Process can be rejuvenated to remain relevant and play a dynamic role in promoting cooperation on security, political and economic issues across the Heart of Asia region.
