Like many across Afghanistan and the world, we have been alarmed by the rapidly unfolding events in Afghanistan. We have been stunned by the sudden and unexpected collapse of the Afghan government with a growing concern for the stability and security of Afghanistan.
The unexpected vacuum in leadership and the return of the Taliban created panic, fear, and elevated the crisis in Afghanistan to unprecedented times. We, at the Heart of Asia Society, remain committed to our work, to research, conduct timely analysis and share our expertise on the ways out of this crisis.
